5 reasons for the beginning of the end of production
Production problems are more cultural than economic. It does not come from expensive delivery and rising labor costs. The problem is much wider.
Is the end of production just around the corner? And does the worker closing the shift turn off the light in the workshop forever? Somewhat sad, but you can say so.
There are at least 5 reasons why the beginning of the end of traditional production is coming. And they are not as obvious as you might think and heard about: labor costs, stricter labor protection rules, worldwide attention to environmental pollution, and so on. Here the situation is much broader.
Durability
In the world of instant pleasure and threatening disposability, where discarded packaging is more expensive than what it contained, who will actually take care of the production of durable goods? We get tired of things that no longer “shine”, and “shine” is always impossible. Soon, 3D printing technology will contribute to the emergence of an even larger number of disposable products. And this is bad for our production, our population, our planet.
Need
Frankly, nothing is in our property today. Due to the huge maintenance costs, the devastating depreciation and the rapid obsolescence of goods and services, there really is no reason to spend your money on something in the long run. We are simply users and tenants, but not owners.
Longing
Our craving for certain things changes with time, the same thing happens with our appetite. And showing off your property and property is no longer cool. We are becoming less materialistic. They used to say that only 4 things define a man: his house, his car, his wife and his shoes. Just think how much it differs from our present perception.
New generation
Now the kids bother less and less about, for example, his car. For the production is not the biggest minus. As soon as these children reach the age when they can make their first weighty purchases, it turns out that they do not have the means to do so. The new generation is more inclined to get the experience of adventure and travel, and not stock up on any age-old things.
Digital aspect
The digital world dictates everything. Everyone is well aware that good ideas live much longer and cost much more than anything they have done with their own hands. Unlike real things, ideas and some digital products can be easily shared. And when an idea becomes widespread, it only improves and supplements, and does not diminish its power. This is how future growth will be generated. In the production of new ideas, and not in the production of the iPad, for example.
